My name is Noah Cornman, I’m the Executive Director for SAY: The Stuttering Association for the Young (www.say.org). We’re a non-profit out of New York working to empower young people who stutter to love themselves exactly as they are, through arts programming and summer camp. We run a 2-week summer camp, Camp SAY (www.campsay.org), and this year we will be holding it at Camp Eagle Hill, a beautiful space 2 hours north of NYC.

Camp SAY Photographer

Camp SAY is a two week non-profit summer camp serving kids and teens who stutter from all around the world. Campers are ages 8 to 18 and attend our two week sleepaway camp in upstate NY. We are seeking a photographer who has experience photographing young people, action and outdoor photography to capture this summer's camp and manage the photo blog on our system. Photographers must have their own shooting and editing equipment.Camp experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities:
  • Record camper smiles and engagement for posting on camp blog
  • Producing high-quality images, ensuring they are correctly exposed and color consistent.
  • Upload, edit, and sort through photographs and videos and post daily on the camp blog.
  • Ensure that all of our approximately 140 campers have at least one picture up every 2 days.
  • Keeping accurate daily shoot records.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment with a positive attitude.
  • Provide own DLSR cameras, lenses, and equipment.
  • Demonstrate creativity and artistic vision.
  • All Camp SAY staff members are expected to actively support, encourage, and engage all campers socially, emotionally, and physically. This includes helping with conflict resolution, building self-confidence, and strong communication, being a positive role model and a great listener, showing patience, enthusiasm, creativity, flexibility, and generosity.
